WordPress 6: Minimal Modeling case study. Part II. [video]
Here is the second video that shows the process of Minimal Modeling, with WordPress database as the subject. In 57 minutes we’ve added one anchor, eight attributes, three links and one secondary data item.
We also discussed, or at least mentioned, some common database modeling topics, such as:
handling enums and booleans;
handling of pseudo-NULL columns (such as ID=0);
quasi-duplicate data;
secondary data;
modeling different kinds of objects stored in the same physical table (in this case: posts, pages, revisions, and some others.).
