A conceptual overview of Minimal Modeling [video]
Today I’m going to try something new. Here is a short video (seven and a half minutes) that presents a conceptual overview of Minimal Modeling: https://www.loom.com/share/1db024894c6e425696950617ba1ca8c2.
In this video I walk through the Mokum case study, the same case study that I’ve shared in the previous newsletter.
One thing that I’ve learned in the past couple of months is that short low-fuss videos are awesome to quickly present an idea.
This substack will certainly stay the same as before, though: mainly text-oriented.
This is the first video in a series. In the following videos we’ll see how to extract the logical model from the description of physical tables. Also we’ll talk in detail about the components of Minimal Modeling: anchors, links, attributes, secondary data, etc.
